Ladies Autumn Open - Thursday 17th October
To wake up to blue skies and sunshine was a real bonus after the very wet conditions we have had recently. The clubhouse was soon brought to life with ladies arriving for the 10am shotgun start and before long all 26 teams were making their way to their respective tees. It was marvellous to see the course filled with ladies and sounds of laughter from teams obviously enjoying their day.

We all came in to a delicious meal followed by browsing and treating ourselves at the SuitablySporty clothing wear and accessories stand, followed by the prize-giving:-

2's – Rachel Miller, Kelly Naylor, Irene Moody, Suzanne Pretty, Sue Simmons, Jill Woodford and Cathryn Hoyland.
Nearest the pins on 1st: Julie Bowler, 5th: Joanne Barradell, 15th: Sandra Bloor, In 2 on the 10th – Di Martin.

1st team prize – Rachel Miller, Joanne Barradell, Mel Walker, Kelly Naylor – 81 points
2nd – Anita Chamberlain, Rachel Smith, Natalie Mitchell, Kay Marshall – 78 points
3rd – Sandra Roberts, Liz Straughan, Di Jaggard, Jean Roberts – 77 points
4th – Jenny Cordon, Gill Snelson, Jenny Small, Sue Simmons – 76 points
5th – Suzanne Pretty, Carol Wild, Julie Windridge, Julie Bowler – 74 on count back

Congratulations to you all!

The day ran really smoothly and for that, sincere thanks go to Michael Bunney and his staff for their hard work on the presentation of the course and the extreme challenges they have faced with the very wet conditions; Mike and Brian in the office for preparing the cards and paperwork; David, Edward a and Elliott in the Pro Shop for checking the cards and being their hugely supportive selves; Roy Longthorn, Alan Webster and Ian Mayoll for running the registration desk and Phil (Dennis the Menace) for his unique way of selling raffle tickets! Delighted to say the end total monies raised for our Captains’ Charities was £328. Absolutely fantastic, many thanks ladies for your generosity. Thank you also to the ladies who provided raffle prizes for this event, Paul and staff for the excellent catering during the day, so many compliments received, Suzanne and Rachel for organising the hampers - the prize table looked fabulous.

What a joyous day, Longcliffe did us proud!
