Now in its fourth year, the League has raised close to £5000 for H4H Charities.
Longcliffe v Birstall Thursday 13 July 2017
The H4H team travelled to Birstall for their most important game of the season knowing a win would almost guarantee winning the league this season. In a very impressive performance not one of the 6 matches were conceded as Longcliffe won 5 1/2 - 1/2. A result at Rothley in the next match will secure the league title with a game to spare.

The H4H Team started their 2017 campaign away to 2016 league winners Kirby Muxloe, Kirby have never lost a home match and with Longcliffe yet to win an away match, a testing encounter was anticipated.
Longcliffe's opening pairing saw the perfect blend of youth & experience, with ex junior captain Jake Croshaw and ex scratch team captain Jon Steele securing a hard fought 1-up win . Stars of the evening were the unlikely pairing of James Pretty & John Berry, who were always in control, winning 3-up. The 3rd pairing David Hull & Vince Johnson were very unfortunate to loose a closely fought match 1 down. Sean Creeney & Stuart Taylor just came up against a pairing who could do no wrong, and finished 8 down. The penultimate pairing of Harry Worden & Dave Gray though never behind, finishing all square leaving the final outcome to be decided by the final pairing of Kev Marshall & Wayne Bown, who delivered a rock solid performance winning 2-up. This gave Longcliffe a well deserved 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 victory . With away wins being very rare in the H4H league expectations are now high for this year.
