Longcliffe v The Leicestershire  Wednesday 12 September 2018
The final match of the season was played in warm September sunshine against a Leicestershire team which included their Lady Captain who played off the whites and contributed to their narrow 3 - 2 victory.

The sheet for the End of Season Comp and Dinner on Thursday 4 October is available in the locker room.  Don't forget to sign up!!

Longcliffe v Lingdale Thursday 9 August 2018
In a tightly fought match with the course playing well, the honours were shared as both teams battled to a 3 - 3 draw.

Longcliffe v Erewash  Thursday 19 July 2018
Our visitors were very complimentary about the course and put up a hard fight, however Longcliffe had the edge with home advantage and came out the winners 4 - 2.  A special mention goes to Tony Cambell and Simon Glover who had the best win of the evening.

Longcliffe v Rushcliffe Thursday 12 July 2018
Following a string of defeats  we overcame a tough Rushcliffe team with a 5 - 1 win on a warm evening with the course running, but greens receptive.  Star performers were Ian Russell and Andy Wallace with a 6 and 5 victory!

Longcliffe v Wollaton Park (away) Thursday 14 June 2018
The Men's Combined Team visited Wollaton Park in Nottingham. The course was in stunning condition, playing firm and fast, aided by strong, swirling winds from the tail end of Storm Hector earlier in the day and the greens were an absolute pleasure to putt on!!  Despite a number of close matches, home advantage overcame on the night with the home team being victorious 5 - 1. Congratulations to Steve Warren and Ian Russell on being the sole victors for Longcliffe with an impressive 6 and 4 win.

Combined v Charnwood (away) Wednesday 23 May 2018
On Wednesday evening the Men's Combined team travelled to our near neighbours Charnwood to play for 'the bottle of wine, which was rescued from their clubhouse when it burnt down over 40 years ago!!

With the course playing as you would expect - firm and bouncy with thick rough when you strayed from the fairways, local knowledge and handicaps were a massive advantage leading to a Charnwood victory 5.5 to 0.5, wrestling the trophy away from Longcliffe after we'd won it for the last 2 years!  Well done to Captain David Hagger and Kevin 'Adrian' Stanley on achieving the honourable half in their match!!

Longcliffe v Leicestershire Police  Thursday 3 May 2018
On Thursday evening the men's team took on Leics Police in the annual Munn & Moore memorial match. The course was in excellent condition, considering the previous days torrential downpour!!  The matches were, as always played in excellent spirit with Longcliffe proving too strong and prevailing 5-1.

Club President, Arthur Plater is presented with the Munn & Moore Trophy by the Captain of the Police team, Superintendent Neil Castle.
