Seniors AGM and Claret Jug

46 Seniors played in The Claret Jug competition with Stuart Rackley emerging the winner.  The outgoing Captain, Frank Fay, reported on an enjoyable year for the Seniors, particularly with interclub matches at home, winning 9, losing 1 and halving 1.  Away games were less successful, but still enjoyable, with 2 wins and 9 defeats.
48 Seniors attended the AGM and enjoyed an excellent meal.  Thanks again to Paul and his team for the excellent catering throughout the year.   A vote of thanks was given to Roy Longthorn for the tremendous job as Seniors Secretary he had done throughout the year.  It was decided that the Seniors' joining fee for next year will be raised from £8 to £10.  The Officers for next year are  Captain - Chris Frith, Vice-captain - Bill Sutton, Secretary - Roy Longthorn and Treasurer - Frank Fay.

Chris Frith is looking forward to his year as Senior's Captain and announced that his away day next year will be on Wednesday 29th June at Leicestershire's most improved course, Melton Mowbray.
