David Mee - Head Professional

After a successful amateur career, David qualified as a PGA Professional in 1993. He has continued to enjoy success, notably winning the TaylorMade Adidas Golf Staff Championships on two occasions at the Belfry and in Dubai and has also held the County Matchplay and Alliance Championship titles. In addition, David has been the Midland Region Captain of the P.G.A.

Since joining Longcliffe in 2000, David has continued to improve the services given to his customers, most notably by a full refit of the golf shop and investing in an indoor teaching and fitting room. Currently a class AA member of the PGA, David strives to improve the customer experience, both in the golf shop, on the practice ground and out on the course.

Away from the golf, David is married and has two boys. He enjoys many sports and regularly goes to watch Leicester City.

Edward Martin - Assistant Professional 

Edward is a fully-qualified golf professional and has been a member of the Professional Golfer’s Association for 16 years. During this time, Edward has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of golf and particularly in coaching for all golfers' abilities, levels and goals.  His career highlight as a player came in 2010 when he won the National PGA Fourball Championship.

Away from the golf, Edward’s primary passion is running, and to date has completed seven marathons, both here in the UK and the USA.  He is currently in training for an eighth and has a personal best time of 3.15.

Sarah Haslum - Pro Shop Assistant 

Sarah has been a member of Longcliffe since 2005.  She has a low single-figure handicap and regularly plays for Leicestershire and Rutland Ladies County Team.  Sarah has always had a  love of sport and before taking up golf she played hockey at Midlands League level; represented England Ladies at rounders; played tennis and became Leicestershire Ladies Champion on three occasions.

Away from golf, Sarah has two daughters, Laura and Kelly, and she loves to spend time with them shopping and socialising.
