Though the sky was grey, the coming together of all players for the shotgun start provided a positive and welcoming start to Lady Captain's Day. On the course, early dew soon evaporated in fairly uncomfortable humidity but, despite the course continuing to play long, Rachel Miller took the overall prize this year with an excellent 41 points. Irene Moody won the Silver Division with 38 points, Jo Smith Bronze1 with 36 points and Margaret Norris Bronze 2 with 34 points. Nearest the pins were Pat Haslam, Ali Groom and Gilly Higgins for the 1st, 5th and 15th respectively. Kate Hammond won the prize for nearest the pin in two on the 10th and for her second prize, Ali Groom secured nearest the pin in three on the 12th.
Huge thanks to Lady Captain Carol Devonport and her support team for a fantastic day both on the course and in the clubhouse in the evening. A job very well done!
