First World War Graves Visit.

Our intrepid team discovering the resting places of past members lost during the Great War have been at it again.  Sherod Winterton, Dicky Morley, Graham Worn and Dave Hallam visited the grave of Lieutenant Alexander de Lisle at Dozinghem in Belgium.  De Lisle, in the Royal Flying Corp, died aged 20 after leading the 9th Service Battalion, the Leicester Tigers, in their heroic battle at Bazentin Ridge in July 1916 as part of the Somme offensive.   A cross was placed at his headstone from Longcliffe GC members.
