Rich Wells Club Champion 2016
The good weather, the atmosphere on the course and on the club house patio combined to make the 2016 Club Championship a huge success. The second round was very tight with an exciting finish as Andy Harding led the charge with six birdies and Richard Selby holed in one on the 15th. Oliver Wilson led the field after round one with an excellent 71, but fell away to leave Rich Wells to post a two round score of 148 to be crowned Club Champion for 2016. Jon Siddons was hot on his heels in second place with 149 followed by Andy Harding, who came third on 150, and Harry Coe in fourth place on 151.
Saturday's best nett score was returned by Olly Willson with a fine 69 (71 - 2). Harry Coe came second with 70 (74 - 7) and Neil Clapham was third with 71 (83 - 12). Sunday's best nett was Tom Adamek with 69 (74 - 5) and Andy Harding 69 (70 - 1) with Mark Lawrence 70 (72 - 2) close behind. The John Howlett Trophy for the best Senior went to Tim Linnell with consistent rounds of 84 and 85 for a total of 169.
