Clubhouse and Catering

The original Clubhouse which, like the Club celebrated its centenary in 2006, retains its impressive beamed, high-ceilinged central core embellished by traditional honours boards.

Much enlarged over the years, it has been redesigned, redecorated and refurbished recently, and now offers a spacious & comfortable bar lounge area in which any size of society is easily accommodated. A generous long bar allows efficient service and, naturally, a good selection of beers on draught, including at least one cask ale, is always available.

Dining Room                Dining Room

The adjoining dining room is spacious and has also been recently refurnished. There is a separate smaller room ideal for groups of twelve or less. Catering is in the experienced hands of Paul Price, our Clubhouse Manager for the past 15 years. He works hard to ensure good quality food, with fresh ingredients where possible, at prices keenly priced to offer best value for money.

He and his team are happy to prepare a wide variety of menu options, and a choice of dishes within those options. The following choices are currently offered to visiting societies:

Paul would be  pleased to obtain any particular wine with reasonable notice.
Casual bar meals may not be available to group bookings.
